Why should you have a painting of your pet in your home?

You know that feeling you get when, after a particularly rough day, you walk through your door and your your dog or cat or ferret, bird, bunny, potbellied pig, is there to greet you with the enthusiasm of seeing you for the first time…again? You know the way he’ll nudge you under the elbow just to get a pat on the head while you’re reading the newspaper or plop down on your cold foot and warm it up? You know that way he looks at you when he wants a cookie and he knows you’re standing by the cookie jar? Your pet lives in the moment, and in that moment you are his entire world. And, whether you’re aware of it or not, right then and there, with that certain look or tilt of his head, your pet reminds you that you too, are in that same moment. The two of you, without having to say a word, shared that moment. That is an amazing and wonderful feeling. Those everyday little moments, that for a split second remind you how wonderful it is to share a silent moment with a friend. In the grand scheme of things, our little zen companions are only with us for such a short time. Your love for them, well, that will never dim and a portrait has a special way of bringing you back to THAT moment each time you gaze upon it.

THAT is why you should have a painting of your pet in your home.
